HISTORY
AEGIS, established in 1989, is located at the Ergates Industrial Area, 25 km southwest of Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus. Its site covers an area of 9600 square meters with room to accommodate future expansion.
AEGIS, through licensing
agreements and
technology transfer n conjunction with its development department, scientific
staff and modern facilities, has achieved to produce high quality pharmaceutical
products at affordable prices sold to over 30 countries worldwide.
As a manufacturing unit, AEGIS has singled out one major criterion for performance - an unswerving dedication to ethical conduct in all its endeavors and to a strong formal program for its promotion, implementation and measurement.
AEGIS strategy is to offer drugs
therapeutically equivalent and interchangeable with the products of the industry
leaders, at fair prices. We are the alternative to expensive healthcare. We
manufacture over 100 products in various strengths and pack sizes.
LOCATION
Cyprus is geographically located in the Eastern part of the Mediterranean sea. It is therefore close to Europe, Middle East and Africa within easy reach to the Far East. As of December 2002 the E.U. has decided that Cyprus will join the Union by May 2004. This makes Cyprus not only geographically, but politically as well, a European country, a position historically well deserved. The implications of this accession are enormous and very favorable for potential customers.
